Dinesh Raj Dhakal embarked on his career in the tourism industry in late 1998, starting as a trekking guide. This role allowed him to develop an intimate knowledge of Nepal's diverse trekking routes and its natural beauty. His early experiences in guiding trekkers laid a solid foundation for his future roles in hotel and travel management. In 2005, Dinesh pursued further education in Japan, where he completed a diploma in Japanese Language and Travel & Tourism. This educational background equipped him with the skills needed to navigate the international tourism and hospitality industry effectively.
Professional Experience in Japan
Dinesh's professional journey in Japan began in 2011 when he joined BB Hotel Co. Ltd (Resort Hotel Tateshina). His tenure there marked the start of a significant chapter in his career in the hospitality industry, served until 2018, where he gained invaluable experience in resort management and guest handling services.
Additionally, Dinesh extended his career by working with Singapore-based Capitaland (Japan) The Ascott Limited, an international hotel chain. These roles further developed his expertise in hotel management and business operations on a global scale.
After nearly two decades in Japan, Dinesh returned to Nepal in 2022, bringing with him a wealth of international experience. Upon his return, he founded several businesses aimed at promoting Nepal’s tourism and hospitality sector. His ventures include Paradise Himalayan Journey, which specializes in organizing trekking and adventure tours, Paradise Himalayan Apartment, offering comfortable accommodations for travelers, and Darbar Heritage Inn at Thamel, Kathmandu.
Extensive Trekking Experience
Dinesh has extensive trekking experience, having explored numerous renowned routes in Nepal. His trekking portfolio includes the most popular Annapurna Circuit, Everest base camp and Annapurna Base Camp, the hidden lands of Upper Mustang, and the spiritual route to Jomsom Muktinath. He has also trekked in the Ganesh Himal and Panchase/Ghorepani regions, as well as the Langtang/Gosaikunda and Helambu areas. Additionally, he has undertaken several shorter treks, including Dhampus Pokhara, Ghorepani/Ghandruk, and Chisapani/Nagarkot.
