Best Season for Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek

Although Nepal is a year-round travel destination, the best months for this trek are March to May and September to December. Trekking will be possible in Nepal during the winter months of January and February when snowfall is forecast at higher elevations. Detailed itinerary for 7 Days Tengboche Monastery Trek

Your Everest Tengboche Monastery Trek adventure begins with your arrival in Kathmandu. Representatives from Paradise Himalayan Journey will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). and we will help you with your luggage and transportation to your hotel. We don't have any fixed schedule of activities and plans for today so you can take a rest in the hotel or walk around Thamel in the afternoon and evening. Welcome dinner together in the evening with Paradise Himalayan Team.

We board a flight to Lukla (2,850m/9,350 ft) early in the morning. It takes 30 minutes to arrive at Lukla airport. Then we trek to Phakding (2650 m/ 8562 ft) - Walking Distance (6.2km/3.85 miles) - 3 hours.

After breakfast, we start our trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,285 ft)

Today after breakfast we start our trek from Namche to Tengboche. We will ascend alongside the Dudh Koshi River until Phunke Tenga, then follow the Imja Khola trails up to Tengboche, starting from Namche Bazaar. As we walk through the forest of pine, fir, black juniper, and rhododendron trees on today's hike, we will get a chance to see the national eagle, Danfe.

We visit the ancient Tengboche Monastery when we arrive in Tengboche, which is considered the most sacred by the Sherpas of the Khumbu valley. The backdrop of the Tengboche Monastery includes Ama Dablam (6856m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Taboche (6367m), and other Khumbu peaks. Tengboche is where you can spend the night.

Walking: 5-6 hours

We'll return to Namche today. On our way to Namche Bazaar, we walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River, passing by numerous monasteries and Mani walls decorated with prayer flags. We then return to Jorsalle, where we exit Sagarmatha National Park and arrive in Monjo after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River.

Altitude: 3,440m (Namche Bazar)

Walking: 6-7 hours

On our final day of trekking, we return to Lukla through the villages of Bengkar, Phakding, Nurning, and Cheplung, as well as several Mani stones. You will spend the evening wandering around the village and chatting with the Sherpa residents. Lukla is where you can spend the night.

Accommodation: Overnight at Hotel.

Altitude: 2,860 metres (9,383 ft)

Walking: 4-5 hours

We get a wonderful meal as we get up early in the morning. Then it's back to Kathmandu on a flight that takes us over the mountains once more. You will be picked up from the airport and driven to the hotel by our agent. You have the whole day to yourself to visit Kathmandu's markets and eateries.
