Day-wise Itinerary
Detailed itinerary for 12 Days Jomsom Muktinath Trek

On your day one, we welcome you to the city of temples and history, Kathmandu. Today you will be welcomed by our friendly staff at the Tribhuvan International Airport. 

From here, you will be safely transferred to your designated hotel. If you are not too jet-lagged from the flight, try exploring the city for a while. There are plenty of things to see in Kathmandu.

Take some rest and gear up for an exciting journey ahead.

Accommodation: Overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu

Today we fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the flight time is about 25 minutes. After reaching Pokhara, we will explore the city and Lakeside.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today is the first trek day of our journey. Today we walk from Nayapul to Tikhedunga. This trekking trail passes through the Burungdi River with amazing views of mountains, we pass through the paddy fields, villages of Birethanti and Ramgai, and finally arrive at Tikhedunga.

Today we start our trek to beautiful Ghorepani

Today early in the morning we hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m/ 10,525 ft) after walking 45 minutes,

After exploring the Poonhill, we trek to Tatopani (1200m/3940ft),

Walking: 4-5 hours.

Today we hike from from Tatopani to Ghasa,

Today we hike from from Ghasa to Tukuche

Today we hike from from Tukuche to Kagbeni

Today we hike from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,855 m/12,635ft)

Today we will walk through the trail that passes through the ancient villages to Holy Muktinath. Muktinath is a religious temple popular among the travelers and is one of the most prestigious  pilgrimage destination for Hindus and Buddhists.

Today is the last day of our trekking journey. We trek all the way from Muktinath to Jomsom enjoying the beautiful views of the Mustang lansscapes and sceneries,

Today will be an early flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. You will see many mesmerizing views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. The flight is 15 minutes long that goes over the deepest gorge in the world. In Pokhara, the climate is warmer and the environment and atmosphere are delightful there.

You can enjoy the scenery of the Phewa, Rupa and Begnas Lake. You can go boating and visit the Taal Barahi Temple. You can go rafting and some adventures like Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Bat Cave and, Mahendra Cave. There are many restaurants, café, and pubs that you can go to and enjoy other adventures as well. 

Today we trace back to Kathmandu, we reach Kathmandu in about 6-7 hours. If you want to explore the Thamel and Kathmandu Durbar Square in evening, you can. As today is your last day at Kathmandu with us, we will have Farewell Dinner together at Thamel.

We highly recommend you to carry the basic clothing and accessories (PowerBank, Camera, Mobile Phones, Battery Charger, etc) needed for the trek.

  • 3-4 season sleeping bag with hood
  • Thermo rest self-inflating pad or foam mat
  • Main luggage- Rucksack or Duffel
  • 30 - 40 liter Daypack- to carry water bottles, camera, lunch and extra clothing
