Pisang Peak Climbing is one of the popular and adventurous trekking peaks in the Annapurna Region and this peak is famous for easy climbing among the climbers and trekkers. Pisang Peak also known as Jong Ri is located in the northern part of Nepal in Manang district. This peak lies in between Mt. Annapurna I and Mt. Manaslu. Pisang Peak is one of the lower altitude peaks in the Annapurna Region and this peak nearly perfect pyramid of ice and snow.

This climbing experience is beautiful trekking and climbing adventure in the Annapurna range of Nepal. This peak climbing offers a marvelous combination of trekking to the Annapurna Circuit and climbing the Pisang peak.

BEST SEASON FOR PISANG PEAK CLIMBING

The best seasons for Pisang Peak Climbing is Autumn and Spring. The most perfect time for Pisang Peak climb is between October and November or between March and May. However, Pisang Peak can be climbed at any time of year, adventure travelers across the globe choose to scale up this mountain during g Spring and Autumn season.

During Spring and Autumn, snowfall and precipitation is less making easier and comfortable for walking, Sky remains clear with stunning views of the mountains, landscapes and the nature. Days remains sunny and hot while nights are mild. The weather and temperature remains ideal for trekking and expedition during the months of Spring and Autumn.

Pisang Peak Climbing Difficulties

Pisang peak can be climbed by climbers of all levels. However, climbing Pisang peak is challenging experiences for the beginners. Climbing to the mountains and peaks is not an easy task like trekking to the mountains, climbers have to face many challenges when undertaking a 6000 m expedition. Climbers may face several difficulties like weather and humidity changes, altitude sickness and snowfalls and accommodation problems during the expedition trek.

Day-wise Itinerary
Detailed itinerary for 18 Days Pisang Peak Climbing

Paradise Himalayan Journey staff will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer you to Hotel. Enjoy the pristine culture of "Aththiti Devo Bhawa"  followed by welcome drinks. In the evening, a welcome dinner hosted by Paradise Himalayan Journey. Overnight in a hotel in Kathmandu.

We rest for most of the day and unpack. We visit Paradise Himalayan Journey’s office in the afternoon. Pisang Peak climbing leaders will check our set of climbing equipment to make sure that they are in good condition for our coming journey. We also get introduced to fellow participants and discuss our trip.

After breakfast at Hotel in Kathmandu, we will drive for about 5 to 6 hours to reach Besisahar. Besisahar is about 190 kilometers far from Kathmandu. After reaching Besisahar we then drive by jeep to Syange. On the way to Syange, we encounter some incredible views of Mt. Annapurna II (7937m), Mt. Manaslu (8156m) and Mt Lamjung (6983m).

After breakfast we start our day. We drive though the dirt road passing thorugh a gorge with amazing waterfalls cascading down into it and views of snow-capped mountains. We drive from Syange and via Jagat village (1410m), and reach Chamje Village. After crossing the bridge we take a steep climb before reaching the village of Tal (1700m), situated next to the Marsyangdi River.

We continue to reach the today's destination Dharapani village.

Duration: 5-6 hours.

Today we start trekking from Dharapani. During the hike, you can notice the change in the landscape at this higher elevation. The trail also passes through forests before reaching the Tibetan village of the Bagarchhap. This village has distinctive Tibetan architecture. We also see apple-growing region and farms along with pine forests and views of Lamjung and Annapurna II peaks. The trail passes the villages of Manang and Koto before reaching Chame.

Now the walk from Koto to Chae is very easy. Today we will stay at Lodge/Hotel in Chame

Today we start our trek from Chame to Upper Pisang. It takes about 5-6 hours to reach Upper Pisang.

Max Altitude: 3700m

Its is recommened to acclimatize that before heading to the higher elevations from lower elevations. Medical professiionals recommend staying active.

Today we head to Pisang Peak base camp. After three to four hour trek by ascending to Base Camp, we find a suitable place to set up camp for the night.

Today start our ascend for three to four hours all the way to High Camp climbing across the South West Ridge. We set up our tents here tonight.

We've got a long day ahead of us as we set out on a seven- to nine-hour hike to the peak of Pisang Peak. We continue along the ridge until we reach a more challenging area where we must tie ropes till we reach the peak. There are some spectacular panoramic views of the neighboring mountains from the peak. We'll return to Base Camp for the night after soaking in the vistas and regaining our breath.

Today we will head to Pisang Village.

Today after breakfast we start our trek. After walking three to four hours gradually ascending, we reach to Yak Kharka.

Accommodation: Lodge/Tea house

Duration: 4-5 hours

Max-Altitude: 3,511 m/11,517 ft

Today we trek from Yak Khara to Thorong Pedi. It takes about 4-5 hours for us to reach Thorong Phedi. Thorong Pedi lies at the base of Thorong La Pass.

Duration: 4-5 hours.

Altitude: 4600m

Today will most likely be the most difficult day of the expedition, with a hike of 6 to 8 hours. In these upper regions, the increased altitude contributes to the degree of difficulty and, on occasion, severe winds. We may come across sheep, yaks, and merchants hauling their wares along the path. We will be rewarded with breath-taking vistas of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Gangapurna, and the eye-catching peak of Khatungkang after we reach Thorong La Pass (6484m). We descend roughly 1600 meters from the crossing, and the bright Dhaulagiri (Dhaulagiri, meaning "White Peak") is Nepal's tallest mountain. Before we reach Muktinath, where we will spend the night, the terrain becomes more undulating and quite simple.

Today we drive from Muktinati to Jomsom. We pass through the Kagbeni, and Kali Gandaki river.

Jomsom is the home to the Thakali people.

Today we fly from Jomsom to Pokhara and transfer to the Hotel. We have a leisure day here at Pokhara. YouWe can organize a POkhara City Tour in the day time. There are many attractions in Pokhara. You can experience many of those in short time.
